1952
Nascemmo nel centro di Atene, nel vecchio appartamento del nonno Sotiris Psarras, il nostro fondatore, il giorno 8 Dicembre del 1952.
1955-1982
L’azienda operò inizialmente nel settore bellico, con la produzione di tettucci per macchine militari; presto però ci concentrammo sui trasporti pubblici, realizzando il primo sedile per autobus nel 1955 e la prima collezione di sedili destinati ad uso nautico nel 1974. In questo senso aiutarono anche la collaborazione con la tedesca MAGIRUS DEUTZ e la costruzione della nostra prima sede, nel 1968, in uno splendido capannone ai piedi dell’Acropoli.
1983-2003
Nel 1983 Gianni Psarras, figlio del fondatore, prese le redini dell’azienda quale nuovo General Manager, e da allora guida instancabilmente l’azienda. Il primo ventennio della nuova gestione vide un’evoluzione e una diversificazione della nostra offerta: nell 1985 PS-Seating sviluppò una nuova collezione e completò il comparto produttivo, iniziando così a fabbricare in proprio i sedili per cinema e teatri. Era la strada che ci avrebbe portato a diventare, in Grecia, l’azienda di riferimento nel settore. Nel 1999 sono iniziate delle notevoli collaborazioni che hanno permesso alla nostra azienda di migliorare ed espandersi nel mercato, come l’azienda italiana PATERNVEGER e la tedesca KIEL, fornitrici di sedili rispettivamente a destinazione sportiva e per i trasporti pubblici (autobus e treni). Nel 2001 inizia l’importante collaborazione con l’azienda spagnola EURO SEATING, tuttora nostro principale partner per sedili destinati a cinema, teatri e stadi, come anche con l’italiana OMP per i loro prodotti destinati ad uso universitario. Parallelamente vennero iniziati dei lavori di ammodernamento del capannone ad Atene aumentando anche il numero di posti di lavoro.
2004-2012
Dopo il fiorente momento delle Olimpiadi di Atene 2004, la crisi economica, che pur ha sconvolto il mercato greco, non ha arrestato il cammino della nostra azienda ne alterato il nostro spirito: aprendo sedi produttive in Romania e in Turchia, abbiamo continuato a svolgere importanti lavori, anche all’estero come in G.Bretagna, in Romania e in Cipro e a intrattenere nuove importanti collaborazioni, come con l’azienda cinese LIJIANG.
1952
It all started, on December 2, 1952 in the center of Athens, in the old apartment of the grandfather Sotiris Psarras, our founder.
1955-1982
The company initially operated in the military sector, with the production of fabric roofs for military cars; soon, however, we concentrated on public transport, creating the first bus seat in 1955 and the first marine seats collection in 1974. Some crucial steps helped us enter the Greek market such as our first collaboration with the German MAGIRUS DEUTZ and afterwords with the construction of our first headquarters in ’68, a splendid factory underneath the Acropolis.
1983-2003
In 1983 John Psarras, son of the founder, took over the company as the new General Manager, and since then he has been leading the company with success. The first twenty years of the new management experienced an evolution to our offers: in 1985 PS-Seating developed a new collection, and began the production of cinema and theater seats, finding itself to have a complete system of own production. In 1999 we began some important collaborations that allowed our company to improve and expand in the market like the Italian company PATERNVEGER, suppliers of sports seats and the German company KIEL, for their seats for public use like buses and trains. In 2001 we began an important collaboration with the Spanish company EURO SEATING, still our suppliers, for seats,cinemas, theaters and stadiums as well as the Italian OMP for their products for university use. At the same time, renovation works began at our factory in Athens.
2004-2012
After the 2004 Athens Olympics, the economic crisis, which unsettled the Greek market, didn’t stop the goals of our company neither altered our spirit: we opened new production facilities in Romania and Turkey, and in this way we were able to continued making important projects, even abroad like in G.Britain, in Romania and in Cyprus. We also made an important new collaboration with the Chinese company LIJIANG.
From 2012 until today..
With the opening of our new department in Milan a new period began for our company, during which we started to expand also in the Italian market, winning the contract for the installation of new seats for the new stadium of the football team La Spezia.
Our company, despite the difficult periods, has never stopped satisfying its customers, thus remaining today one of the most important production and sales companies in all Greece.
1952
Όλα ξεκίνησαν στο κέντρο της Αθήνας, στο παλιό διαμέρισμα του παππού Σωτήρη Ψαρρά, ιδρυτή μας, στις 2 Δεκεμβρίου 1952.
1955-1982
Η εταιρεία δραστηριοποιήθηκε αρχικά στον στρατιωτικό τομέα, με την παραγωγή τεντών για στρατιωτικά αυτοκίνητα. Σύντομα, όμως, συγκεντρώθηκε στις δημόσιες συγκοινωνίες, δημιουργώντας το πρώτο κάθισμα λεωφορείου το 1955 και την πρώτη συλλογή καθισμάτων για ναυτιλιακή χρήση το 1974. Σε αυτή την κίνηση βοήθησε η συνεργασία μας με την γερμανική εταιρία MAGIRUS DEUTZ οπως και η ανεγερση της πρώτης έδρας μας το 1968, ένα υπέροχο εργοστάσιο στο κέντρο της Αθήνας στους πρόποδες της Ακρόπολης επί της Π. Ράλλη.
1983-2003
Το 1983, ο Γιάννης Ψαρράς, γιος του ιδρυτή, ανέλαβε την εταιρεία ως νέος Γενικός Διευθυντής όπου έως και ημέρα κινεί τα ινία της εταιρεία. Τα πρώτα είκοσι χρόνια της νέας διοίκησης είδαν μια εξέλιξη και βελτίωση ως προς την παραγωγή μας: το 1985 η εταιρία PS- Seating παρουσίασε μια ολοκαίνουργια συλλογή και με αυτόν τον τρόπο ξεκίνησε την επίσημη παραγωγή καθισμάτων για κινηματογράφους και θέατρα. Το 1999 ξεκίνησαν μερικές πολύ σημαντικές συνεργασίες που επέτρεψαν στην εταιρεία μας να βελτιωθεί και να επεκταθεί στην αγορά. Αρχικά με την ιταλική εταιρία PATERNVEGER για αθλητικά καθίσματα και έπειτα με την γερμανική εταιρεία KIEL, για καθίσματα προς δημόσια χρήση όπως λεωφορεία και τρένα. Το 2001 ξεκίνησε η σημαντικότερη συνεργασία μας με την ισπανική εταιρία EURO SEATING, όπου εξακολουθούν έως και σήμερα να είναι οι προμηθευτές μας, για έδρες κινηματογράφων, θεάτρων και σταδίων, καθώς και με την ιταλική εταιρεία OMP για τα προϊόντα τους για πανεπιστημιακή χρήση. Επίσης έγινε πλήρης ανακαίνιση των εργοστασιακών χώρων.
2004-2012
Ύστερα από την ακμάζουσα περίοδε των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων της Αθήνας το 2004, η οικονομική κρίση, η οποία αναστάτωσε την ελληνική αγορά, δεν σταμάτησε την πορεία της εταιρείας μας ούτε και το πνεύμα μας: ανοίξαμε νέες εγκαταστάσεις παραγωγής στη Ρουμανία και την Τουρκία, συνεχίζοντας να λειτουργούμε ενεργά και στην Ελλάδα καθώς και στο εξωτερικό, όπως στην Μ. Βρετανία, τη Ρουμανία και την Κύπρο. Επίσης ξεκίνησε μια νέα σημαντική συνεργασία με την κινεζική εταιρεία LIJIANG.
